I spend my days supervising graduate students, sitting on academic and funding committees, writing funding proposals, and researching artificial intelligence. None of it involves a camera.

But it all started somewhere else. In 2013 I flew from my hometown to the Netherlands for my Master's. Everything was new. I didn't know the unwritten rules, what was normal, what wasn't. I was clueless, and there was no one to tell me otherwise.
I figured it out anyway: a fully funded Master's, then a PhD, then a postdoc. Now I'm an assistant professor of over five years. I've graduated two PhD students and secured four research grants.
Along the way, I kept noticing the same thing from the other side of the desk: students asking me the exact same questions, over and over, about applications, interviews, personal statements, writing research proposals and papers, handling rebuttals, surviving a PhD. Questions with real answers that nobody actually talks about.
So I started recording videos, one topic at a time.
I'm aiming to build a community that helps international students get into grad school, and navigate it once they're there. A place to find useful information and ask the questions you'd hesitate to ask anywhere else.
